General Description
The Project Field Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the implementation of project activities across assigned project sites in BARMM. The role ensures that field operations are delivered efficiently, on schedule, within approved budgets, and aligned with organizational goals, donor requirements, and implementation standards.

The position provides direct supervision and technical guidance to Field Coordinators and serves as the primary operational lead for community-level implementation. The role coordinates closely with LGUs, schools, farmer organizations, cooperatives, suppliers, and community stakeholders to support activities related to regenerative agriculture, climate-resilient livelihoods, local food systems, school feeding initiatives, and community-based enterprise development.

The Project Field Manager is also responsible for field monitoring, reporting, logistics management, stakeholder engagement, safeguarding compliance, and achievement of project deliverables within assigned implementation areas. The post reports to the Project Manager and will be based in BARMM.

Key responsibilities
  1. Project Implementation and Operations Management
  • Lead and oversee implementation of approved project workplans, field activities, and operational schedules
  • Ensure timely delivery of project outputs, targets, and milestones
  • Supervise field operations related to:
    • regenerative and climate-smart agriculture
    • school and community gardens
    • livelihood and enterprise development
    • community-based food production systems
    • stakeholder consultations and trainings
    • distribution of agricultural inputs, tools, and supplies
  • Monitor implementation progress and resolve operational challenges
  • Ensure efficient utilization of project resources, logistics, and materials
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor implementation quality and beneficiary participation
2. Leadership and Team Management
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor Field Coordinators and field staff
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure accountability for deliverables
  • Conduct regular coordination meetings and field briefings
  • Provide technical and operational guidance to field teams
  • Promote a collaborative and results-oriented working environment
  • Support staff development through mentoring and on-site coaching
3. Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with LGUs, BARMM ministries, schools, cooperatives, farmer groups, suppliers, and community leaders
  • Coordinate with municipal and barangay officials to support project implementation and sustainability
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, consultations, orientations, and trainings
  • Support engagement with schools and partners involved in food security and school feeding initiatives
  • Represent the organization in field-level coordination and partnership activities
4. Planning and Operational Coordination
  • Develop field implementation plans, schedules, and deployment strategies
  • Coordinate with project, technical, procurement, finance, and field teams to ensure smooth implementation
  • Ensure field activities comply with approved strategies and operational guidelines
  • Identify operational risks and develop mitigation measures
  • Support coordination of trainings, distributions, monitoring visits, and logistics requirements
5. Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and Reporting
  • Oversee field data collection, monitoring, and documentation systems
  • Monitor project progress against targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of beneficiary records, reports, distribution documentation, and monitoring databases
  • Consolidate and submit timely field reports and implementation updates
  • Analyze implementation data and recommend operational improvements
  • Support MEL activities, including baseline, progress monitoring, and endline activities
6. Compliance, Safeguarding, and Accountability
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and operational procedures
  • Support transparent and accountable implementation of field operations
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing for audit and compliance purposes
  • Monitor adherence to safeguarding, child protection, health and safety, and ethical standards
  • Promote inclusion, transparency, accountability, and respect for local culture and community dynamics
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Management, Agribusiness, Rural Development, Community Development, or related fields; Master’s degree is an advantage
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in field operations, project management, or community development
  • Experience working with LGUs, farmer groups, cooperatives, and community organizations
  • Experience implementing agriculture, food security, nutrition-sensitive, or livelihood programs in BARMM
  • Understanding of regenerative and climate-smart/resilient agriculture approaches
  • Familiarity with DepEd school feeding and related government food security programs
  • Familiarity with community-based procurement systems and local government processes
  • Proven managerial experience supervising and mentoring at least 3 staff members
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
  • Mediation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities
  • Coaching, mentoring, delegation, and accountability management skills
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Facilitation and training experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong report writing, documentation, and presentation skills
