General Description
The Grants Manager will oversee the management and full life cycle of the on-granting component of the LUYON project and oversee the management of grant timelines, reporting requirements, and deliverables. She/he will work closely with the Project Management Team to finalize the grant policies and process. The post reports to the Project Director. The place of assignments in Leyte are Alangalang, Sta. Fe and San Miguel.

Key responsibilities
- Work with the PMT to implement the grantmaking process.
- Work closely with grantees and guide the process, proper documentation, and prepare agreements, work plans, and budgets. Ensure all proposals are submitted on time and following grant guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all grant terms and conditions, including budget adherence and reporting deadlines.
- Coordinate with finance and program staff to track the use of grant funds and prepare financial reports for funders.
- Track and monitor the impact of grants, collecting relevant data and outcomes to report back to funders.
- Maintain a system for organizing and tracking grant documents and communications.
- Study and interview other grants managers in the Philippines to derive best practices in pro poor grants management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant writing and grants management, preferably in the nonprofit sector. Experience with both government and foundation grants is highly desirable.
- Ability to write and edit reports and conduct research.
- Effective written and oral communication skills in English; knowledge of one or more Asian languages a plus.
- Team player and able to work productively with teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural work environment.
- Computer proficient, with knowledge and experience in word processing and database management.
